Lisa Montell, a Hollywood starlet of the 1950s and ’60s, died on March 7 of heart problems and sepsis, per The Hollywood Reporter. Montell is known for starring opposite Rod Taylor in the 1956 sci-fi feature World Without End and with Dean Martin in the musical comedy Ten Thousand Bedrooms.

The longtime journalist earned a number of accolades throughout his career, including two Peabody Awards and inductions into the National Radio Hall of Fame and Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The actor, best known for playing Samuel «Screech» Powers on Saved by the Bell, died on February 1 after a battle with cancer. The musician earned a Grammy nomination for best dance/electronic album for her critically-acclaimed 2018 debut album, Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides. Wilson appeared on all 12 of The Supremes’ No. 1 pop hits from 1964 to 1969, including «Where Did Our Love Go,» «Baby Love,» «Come See About Me,» and «Stop! In the Name of Love,» among others. Screenwriter and producer Joshua Safran confirmed the «devastating news» on Twitter on March 2.

Willie Garson, actor, 57​​

«My heart is broken. Gavin was my brother, my partner in crime (and food) and my comic conspirator. Popeil pioneered the informercial game and was known for his fast-talking delivery and catchphrases like «Set it and forget it» and «But wait, there’s more!» He became a household name and was spoofed on shows including I Love Lucy and SNL. On the latter program, Dan Aykroyd mimicked him by hawking the Super Bass-O-Matic 76, and Eddie Murphy did a Popeil gag peddling the Popiel Galactic Prophylactic. Gregg Leakes, husband to Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes, died on Sept. 1, following a long battle with cancer. Patty Perez, the Internet sensation best known for appearing in the Jackass films, died Sept. 17 from health complications. Harris was also a theater veteran who played the role of Sarah in the original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s Company.

Anthony «A.J.» Johnson

The two-time Tony Award nominee’s death was announced by the town of Montgomery, New York, where Wright resided with his family. The author and illustrator of the beloved children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar died on May 23. Williams’ manager, Peg Donegan, confirmed to PEOPLE that the actor died at his home in Los Angeles. The actor, best known for his role on the ABC soap opera Ryan’s Hope, has died. The writer died in a hospital in New York City as a result of cancer, her daughter Anne confirmed to The New York Times and The Washington Post. His other songs include «Calling All Hearts,» which has been featured in episodes of Nashville and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and «Bad Case of You,» which appeared in two episodes of Transparent.

But she was perhaps even more famous for her outspokenness and frequent brushes with controversy, including her 1991 boycott of the Grammys. She spoke openly about her personal struggles with mental health and abuse. O’Connor also routinely criticized the Catholic Church and its handling of sexual abuse accusations. In 1992, she tore up a photo of the Pope during her guest performance on Saturday Night Live, a move that dogged her career and her relationship with the media for the rest of her days. In the last few years of her life, she released a memoir titled Rememberings and participated in the documentary Nothing Compares, about her career and life.

John ‘Ecstasy’ Fletcher

The zookeeper and one of the stars of the Netflix documentary series who worked closely with Joe Exotic was found dead in a residence in New York City on Friday evening, police officials told News 4 New York. Additionally, TMZ reported there was nothing suspicious about Cowie’s death and no drugs were found on the scene, though a toxicology test will likely still be performed. The veteran director had a long career in theater, particularly in the U.K., where he was resident director at the Royal Shakespeare. He shot to stardom with Notting Hill which led him to direct projects such as the 2002′s Changing Lanes with Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson and 2006′s Venus, which earned Peter O’Toole a final Oscar nomination. Tompson had ties to both Walt and Roy Disney, dating back to her childhood.

Michael Nesmith, musician and entrepreneur, 78

• Tiffini Hale, who was a cast member on Disney Channel’s All-New Mickey Mouse Club and pop group The Party, died at the age of 46 on Dec. 25.
• In 1989, he became a household name when he starred opposite Scott Bakula as Admiral «Al» Calavicci on the quirky NBC series Quantum Leap.
• Arthur «Archie» Eversole, the Atlanta rapper best known for his 2002 hit «We Ready,» died April 3 after being shot at a gas station nine days earlier.
• Bean enjoyed a long and healthy career in Hollywood with more than 100 TV and movie appearances since he began acting in the 1950s.

Plummer was married three times, the first to actress Tammy Grimes, the second to journalist Patricia Audrey Lewis and lastly to actress-dancer Elaine Taylor. He is survived by Taylor and his daughter with Grimes, Amanda Plummer. In addition to a statement regarding his passing, the musician, born Armando Anthony Corea, left a message of gratitude to his fans.

• «Sadly the music world lost one of the greats yesterday as Fred Parris passed away after a brief illness,» the statement read.
• Stephanie Bissonnette, a choreographer, dancer, and teacher who played high school student Dawn Schweitzer in the Mean Girls musical, died on Dec. 18 at the age of 32.
• Hildebrand reunited with his muse, Hendricks, and they were together until her death in 1999.
• «A kinder soul never walked the earth. I will always miss his spirit and generosity. Sleep peacefully my old friend.»

Vaziri spent a few years wrestling in regional companies and officially changed his stage name to the Iron Sheik before returning to the WWF in 1983. He also partnered with Nikolai Volkoff and the pair became tag-team wrestlers in the late ’80s. They continued to make sporadic appearances in the WWF and its successor the WWE for decades. Malcolm Mowbray, the British filmmaker behind A Private Function and Out Cold, died June 23, at 74. His biggest hit was 1984′s A Private Function, starring Maggie Smith, Michael Palin, Denholm Elliott, and Richard Griffiths.

Serra fell from a 6-foot wave before hitting his head on the ocean floor in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Reggae artist, producer and dub pioneer Lee «Scratch» Perry died at Noel Holmes Hospital, in Lucea, Jamaica, on Sunday, Aug. 29. In addition to announcing duties on Letterman, dead female celebrities he occasionally appeared on the show in sketches, including one where he spoke to the camera and addressed divorcees in an amorous fashion.
